It’s allright for me to be me, and for you to be you.
And if there’s no “us” anymore, I can live with that.
Because I’m not who you think I am.
You’re not who I think you are.
We’ve both changed, in ways insignificant and profound.
What’s past is over and done with,
And the future is anyone’s guess.
It should come as no surprise that you don’t recognize me.
Some days I don’t even recognize myself.
